Trade accounts

Who can open a trade account?

Verified businesses only — independent retailers, multi-store chains, marketplace and e-commerce sellers, wholesalers, distributors, and export buyers. We need a Companies House (or local equivalent) registration and a VAT/tax ID. Hospitality and discount-channel buyers are welcome.

How long does approval take?

Typically one working day. We verify your trading details and check trade references where supplied. You'll get login details by email once approved.

Is there an application fee?

No. Opening a trade account is free.

Pricing & quotes

Why aren't prices on the website?

Trade pricing depends on destination, currency, incoterms, volume and the freight lane that fits your order. Public listing isn't useful and would leak our buyers' pricing. Once your trade account is approved, every line shows live pricing tuned to your default profile.

What currencies do you quote in?

GBP, EUR and USD. You set your default display currency at application and can switch it per quote.

Are quotes landed-cost?

By default, yes — landed to your destination (DAP or DDP) is what most buyers want and what we quote first. If you'd prefer ex-warehouse (EXW) or pickup at one of our 3PLs, just say so on the application or per quote and we'll price it that way instead.

How long are quotes valid?

Bulk quotes generated through the portal are valid for 24 hours. Account-manager quotes for strategic lines run on the validity stated on the document.

Orders & MOQs

What are your minimum order quantities?

Orders are placed in full cartons — no broken or split cartons. Carton size varies by SKU and is shown on every product. Most lanes also have a per-shipment value minimum (typical for wholesale freight); we'll flag any failed lines or under-minimum baskets before you check out.

Can I order in mixed cartons?

No — full cartons only. Each line ships in its native carton size; we don't open or repack cartons.

Do you handle bulk / pallet / container orders?

Yes. Use the bulk-quote tool to upload an EAN list (CSV) and we'll return a priced, MOQ-checked quote. For strategic volume on specific brands, talk to your account manager.

Shipping & freight

Where do you ship to?

UK, EU, US, Middle East and beyond — we ship globally on request. We hold stock in UK, EU (Germany) and US warehouses, so most orders dispatch from the closest pool.

Do you offer free shipping?

Free UK delivery on orders over £3,000 ex VAT. International orders are quoted with freight included as part of the landed cost — there's no separate "free shipping" threshold because freight is always priced in.

Do you ship DDP?

Yes — DDP is available on most US and EU lanes. DAP and EXW are also supported. You set your default at application; you can override per order.

Payment & terms

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer (preferred), card (via Stripe), and direct debit (via GoCardless) on UK accounts. We don't accept cash or cheque.

Do you offer credit terms?

NET-30 terms are available on approved accounts after a successful trading history with us, subject to credit check. New accounts trade pro-forma until terms are unlocked.

Are prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices are quoted ex VAT. UK VAT is added on UK-destination invoices. EU and US shipments are typically zero-rated for UK VAT — we handle the documentation.

Returns & damages

What's your returns policy?

Goods are sold trade-only and are not returnable for change of mind. We replace or refund any line that arrives damaged, short, or materially different from the order — report within 7 days of delivery with photos.

What if a line arrives short or damaged?

Email admin@valentrading.com with your order number, photos of the issue, and the affected EANs/quantities. We'll resolve it as quickly as possible.
